We recently had a visit from a group of curious children and dedicated educators from Pysslingen Förskolor! It was a day filled with learning, laughter, and important conversations about creativity, sustainability, and representation.
Pysslingen had ordered a bunch of dolls, and instead of just receiving them by mail, they chose to do something extra – an excursion where the children got to pick up their new doll friends themselves.
An educational and inspiring day
During the visit, the children were given a tour of the workshop to see how our dolls are created – from sheep's wool to a finished figure. They got to feel different fabrics and materials, and we talked about sustainable and eco-friendly production. There were discussions about representation, inclusion, and why it is so important that all children should be able to see themselves reflected in their toys.
We ended the visit by going through the dolls Pysslingen had ordered, and the children also took home fabric scraps and craft materials to bring back to the preschool – perfect for continuing their creative work there.
📣 Do you also want to book a visit?
We love welcoming more preschools to our workshop! A visit to us gives both children and educators a chance to delve into issues of diversity, the environment, and creativity in a fun and engaging way.
