I have now finished breastfeeding for the last time. I hadn’t planned to breastfeed for this long, but since it worked so well for us, there was no reason to stop... until I realized I had become a human pacifier 😅
We started by preparing through doll play, and it’s truly amazing how much easier it is to communicate with children through play and dolls. Now, we have replaced breastfeeding with cuddling the doll, and it feels so good. It’s almost been a week, and we have finally established new daily routines.
This is how we did it
A week before the planned weaning, the dolls came to visit
The baby doll shared that it had stopped breastfeeding and how exciting that felt
The dolls explained that it was difficult and sad in the beginning, but that it passed and turned out well
Soon it will be Yasmine’s turn to stop breastfeeding, and the dolls promised to support and cuddle her a lot
Every day, the dolls come to visit to support and cheer for Yasmine.
