Make Visible and Include – Educational Resource Package

This is an educational resource package consisting of:

• A teacher's guide
• A documentation book
• 5 Watoto Arts dolls

Using the dolls Rex, Nor, Sol, Ami and Milo as a starting point, children and educators can explore inclusion, differences, diversity and intercultural perspectives together.

Making Visible and Including is a teacher's guide developed for preschool educators who want to work with representation, inclusion and everyone's equal value through play.

Using Watoto Arts' inclusive dolls as a starting point, the guide provides support in using doll play as a natural part of educational work. The dolls become a concrete tool to spark curiosity, create conversations and help children discover both similarities and differences.

The purpose of the guide is to:

• Strengthen children's identity, self-esteem and sense of belonging.

• Make diversity and representation visible in everyday preschool life.

• Encourage conversations about similarities, differences and everyone's equal value.

• Support educators in using dolls as educational tools.

• Promote empathy, participation and inclusive play.

The material links to the preschool curriculum, Lpfö 18, and work with values, identity and social development.
